TERMS & CONDITIONS
Well, here comes the boring part! This section highlights Northumbria Trails (NT) commitment to you and exactly what it provides (and what it doesn’t) when you sign up for one of their exclusive vacations. It also outlines your own responsibilities, so pay attention!!
BASIS OF RATES
Prices quoted are per person and are based on two persons sharing a room. For anyone preferring a private room of their own, a single supplement of $750 will be applied although each tour will include a very limited number of rooms available at no extra cost, these to be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
Prices quoted are U.S. dollars. A ‘middle rate’ conversion will be applied to payments in other currencies. The prices are based on current tariffs and are subject to change should unforeseen circumstances arise. Whilst NT will do everything possible to maintain the listed prices, if it becomes necessary to change them, we reserve the right to do so. However, the price of your vacation will be fixed the moment we have received your deposit.
INCLUDED IN THE COST
From the moment you join us to the moment you leave, it is NT’s aim that all essential costs be covered. This includes: four nights accommodation at Eshott Hall and three nights at Langley Castle; breakfast, lunch, dinner and all associated beverages together with any accompanying entertainment; additional snacks, room beverages; presentations given by our team of professionals; excursions, entrance fees and sightseeing as noted in the itinerary; all transportation costs including pick-up and drop-off.
NOT INCLUDED IN THE COST
Airfares are not included in the cost, together with one or two sundry items such as: telephone calls and laundry; travel and tour cancellation insurance.
PAYMENTS, CANCELLATIONS & REFUNDS
To reserve a place on one of NT’s exclusive vacations you must agree to these TERMS & CONDITIONS and provide us with a deposit of $1000 per person. We prefer payment by credit/debit card but personal cheques, money orders and wire transfers are all acceptable. Your final balance will be due no later than 60 days prior to departure. For reservations made within those 60 days, full payment will be required upon confirmation of those reservations.
All cancellations will need to be confirmed in writing and will be subject to the following cancellation schedule:-
90 days or more, prior to departure - 50% of deposit to be refunded
Under 90 days but more than 60 days - 0% of deposit to be refunded
60 days to 30 days - 50% of payment to be refunded
Under 30 days, prior to departure - no refund
We would strongly recommend ‘cancellation insurance’.
It is extremely unlikely, but possible nonetheless, that a tour may be cancelled: this could be due to unforeseen circumstances or even inadequate enrollment that would make the tour economically unfeasible for NT to operate. In this unlikely event we would make every effort to transfer you to another tour. Should this not be possible, or indeed should it not be convenient for the participants concerned, the entire amount that those participants have paid towards said tour will be refunded to them within fourteen days of the cancellation. Under such circumstances, NT and its representatives would then be free of any additional obligations, including any additional costs or fees relating to insurance and/or other travel reservations not made by NT.
HEALTH REQUIREMENTS
Any physical condition, diet or treatment requiring special attention must be reported in writing when a reservation is made.
RESPONSIBILITIES
NT acts in an administrative and organizational capacity only: any transportation carriers, hotels or other suppliers of services connected with NT’s venture are solely responsible and liable for providing their respective services.
We recommend that you take out insurance for the duration of your time with us to cover such liabilities, including but not necessarily limited to death, injury, medical expenses and lost/stolen money, together with lost baggage and airline tickets.
