Where do I begin!?! Hazel, you have created an unparalleled travel experience. With an accomplice like Northumberland, you can't go wrong. The locales you introduced us to were exceptional examples of what Northumbria has to offer and I know you have more up your sleeve. Devotions at Durham echoed its years of conflict and hope. Hadrian's Wall was a testament to the logic that the 'best offense is a good defence'. Chillingham was the chillingest. Alnwick is a monument to longevity, as are Bamburgh and Lindisfarne. Thank you Lord Armstrong! Your team of experts in history and genealogy were engaging and knowledgeable.
I have to remark on the things you did to make my personal experience a special one. The riding lesson at Shipley stables was a useful one. What a way to start off a 60th year! Riding high in the saddle! You also made my birthday an unforgettable one with cards and cake at Eshott Hall with all the best people at the table. I felt very special indeed! Thank you. Thank you.
And now back to reality. Let me know when you can make it to Whitefish. Chum & Pal can't wait to meet you!

How are you? I miss you! Sorry it has taken me so long to write this. Here are my thoughts on a most wonderful trip.
Do not hesitate taking this special trip to the most ancient part of England. The trip had a fabulous itinerary, historic beautiful lodging, and we ate the most delicious meals. You are very well looked after indeed!

Dear Hazel,
We want to let you know how much we enjoyed the trip through Northumbria. I
never imagined how lovely this part of England is. So many beautiful places, plus people who are so wonderful. This journey was a dream come true. You made this journey possible for us and you were so accommodating. James was my knight in shining armour and made sure that I was safely on and off the coach. David and Lindsey are absolutely wonderful, so full of knowledge and so much fun I never imagined how much we would learn from everyone. All of the books on the area are just wonderful. Langley and Eshott are beautiful places to stay and I would love to stay again. The whole group of people were so much fun to be with. It is nice to have a small group and get to know everyone It is almost like having family to tour with. Chris and I had a ball.!!!
Of course, none of this would have come about if not for you. Thank you so much
for organizing Northumbria Trails. Everything was perfect. You are so much fun
to be with and I feel as if I have known you all my life. God bless you, Hazel. I now consider you a good friend in England and Canada. Thank you for the beautiful book on Northumberland strongholds and especially for the sweet words you wrote. I will always remember Dunstanburgh Castle as a challenge I sought and conquered.
